Mariluz Cook began serving as the Director of Broadcast and Digital Media for the Big Sky Conference in January of 2020. In this role, Cook serves as the primary on-camera host and digital media producer for the NCAA Division I league that includes eleven universities across eight different states. 

Cook graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University in May of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Criminal Justice. While a student, Cook served as an Athletics Correspondent for FAU Athletics, serving as the primary online host for Game Day Vlogs and 5 Things You Need to Know for Game Day promotional videos. 

In January of 2019, Cook began working for Owl TV as a Sports Reporter and Blue Wave Sports Show Host. As a member of Owl TV, she started her own show, Pitching You My Best, where she traveled over 4,000 miles to provide award-winning coverage of the 2019 FAU baseball season.

Since April of 2018, Cook has been volunteering her time serving as a Grace News Host for her home church of Grace Fellowship in West Palm Beach, Florida. As an on-camera host, she has served to bring updates to her congregation of over 3,000 on a biweekly basis.

Aside from her career in sports multimedia journalism, Cook is extremely involved in the Miss America Organization. Since 2016, she has held the titles of Miss Fort Lauderdale, Miss Boca Raton, Miss Miami Beach, and Miss South Florida Fair. Cook has twice placed as a Top 15 semi-finalist and once a Top 10 finalist at the Miss Florida Competition, where she has also twice earned the Preliminary Interview Award. Cook has spent the duration of her time in the Miss America Organization speaking to community groups about depression, bringing awareness to the topic.
